"Mar. Man" is a character of this story, and is a fisherman with few words.

某天，他不小心捕到一個人魚，
人魚和漁夫兩人墜入情網。

One day, he fished a mermaid out of surprise, and they were in love at first sight.

漁夫將人魚帶回家，
關起來不讓她見任何人。

Fisherman brought the mermaid home, and kept her home so no one could see her.

因為人魚想念海洋，
想回海洋游泳而溜出了
漁夫的家。

Mermaid sneaked out of the fisherman's house, because she missed swimming in the ocean.

當人魚再度回來時，
漁夫非常生氣，為了不讓她
再溜出去而拘禁了她。

When the mermaid came back, the fisherman was so mad he locked her up so she could not sneak out again.

人魚雖然
愛著漁夫，

但最後終究因為乾枯而死亡。

Mermaid were in loved with the fisherman, but withered to death in the end.

那時候，
漁夫發現
自己的腳開始變成了
魚尾。

At that moment, fisherman noticed his legs had became a fin.

因為人魚每天將自己的鱗片
搗碎，混在漁夫的食物裡。

It was because the mermaid squashed her scales and mixed with food everyday.

人魚只是想要兩個人
能在海底平靜的生活著。

Mermaid only wished to live quietly with each other at the deep of the sea.

於是變成人魚的漁夫，
獨自一人沉入深深的海底。

In the end, the fisherman who has turned in a mermaid sunk into the deep sea alone.
